DATA COLLECTION AND MANAGEMENT

Identify the data your organization needs to track.

What database will work for your needs? Ensure staff is trained and the database is compatible with other systems. Track all data in one database in order to draw correlations.

Notes:

MEASURING ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

What type of evaluation forms will you use? Consider using online surveys, but keep it short and ask the right questions. For needs assessments and program evaluations, focus on simplicity and measurable outcomes. Formulate questions that will create good visuals and numbers.

Notes:

Measure the impact of your programs. Qualitative data is difficult to track. Gather testimonials and measure well being pre- and post-event. Get feedback from multiple stakeholders to compare impact.

Which reporting methods will you use? Which of these will you share with key audiences?

Notes:

How will evaluation data inform program development? Create methods to adapt programs (e.g. Family Advisory Board, regular program meetings). Document lessons learned.

OPTIMIZING YOUR APPROACH

Identify variables. How does your approach need to differ from Tuesday’s Children’s Long-Term Healing Model in order to best meet the needs of your community?

Consider your audiences. What is unique to your community? Pre-existing programs and templates may need to be adapted or edited to the language and nuances of your population.

Create trust in your community. What methods can be used to achieve this in your population? This is key for effective outreach and needs to be continually kept in check to meet long-term.

Notes:

ADHERING TO AN EVALUATION AND MEASUREMENT PROTOCOL
